$8000 CREDIT- HOME INSPECTION, THEN MOVING DAY!

cashIf you are a first time home buyer or someone who has not owned another principal residence at any time during the previous 3 years prior to purchase you may be eligible for the $8000 home buyer tax credit.    But you must hurry;  you must close on this new home by December 1st, 2009 to be eligible for this credit.    As a result many consumers are shopping the market in order to take advantage of this tax credit.  

After you and your Realtor have shopped around and picked the home you would like to make yours you must next plan the home inspection.  Most often your offer on this inspectorhome is contingent on the findings of your home inspection.  You should have the home examined top to bottom to make sure that the biggest investment you will ever make is not going to come tumbling down around you the very first year after you move in.   You should shop for your home inspector as you would for a physician, attorney or accountant.  You want someone who you can trust, who knows what they are doing and excels at it and more importantly has the license to do the inspection.   This inspection will tell you about the need for any major repairs or problems with the structure itself.   Once you have all the facts houseabout this home you can decide based on the home inspector's report if this is still the home for you.   Is it a good solid structure?  Are the repairs too excessive?   Does it flood and how bad is it?  Does the electrical system need to be updated?  These are just some of the things that may come up that could change your mind about purchasing a home after the inspection.  A full report will cover the roof to the basement as well as the water and septic systems.  

Now that you are past the inspection and have decided to go ahead your moversRealtor will see to it that the process goes as smoothly as possible and before you know it you will be headed toward moving day!
