Fallen Tree Blocks Access

This is the view outside my house right now. About an hour ago there was a pretty nasty passing storm. The skies got really dark and it seemed as though the heavens had opened up. It was a torrential down pour the likes of which were unreal.

There were many loud thumps; I figured it was thunder in the distance. Then almost as quickly as it started it was all over. When I went outside to see what there was to see, I was greeted with this awesome view. This is the only way in or out of here.

That tree branch is sitting on live power wires, so we can't cut the branch away ourselves.

I hope you enjoyed my blog. If you are looking to purchase a home in Northeastern Pa. and are planning on having an inspection or simply have questions regarding home inspections, please don't hesitate to give me a call.

That must have been a powerful storm Suesan! Glad you are ok and the only statistic is the tree. The best to you.

HI Suesan, good luck with getting the tree moved and the power lines fixed.  Amazing that you still have power.  Cell phones are wonderful things in these times too.  I am glad to see you are OK.  :)

Suesan - I wouldn't even go near that tree. I would wait and stay inside until the power company took care of it.

Sue,

That's nasty; stay away from that. Weather's been kicking up all over.

Sue, that's a big tree!  Maybe it's better that it fell on the power line than on a car or the house!

Ah ha! I commented on your more recent post about the tree branch, and now I see that you had a storm pass through. Just make sure that the area where the branch broke off is cleaned up and protected with some tree paint against rot and infestation so that the tree doesn't get weaker.
