Pequannock township, specifically Pompton Plains and Pequannock ...

are just one of those cozy warm places to live. With an excellant north Jersey location, close to Manhattan yet with a hometown feel to it. Surrounded my lakes and streams this is a haven for the fisherman in you!

The Local Record reported that due to the high water temperatures in the Pequannock River this summer, enviromentalist are feerful of a fish kill in this sprawning ground. Just recently, the recorded temperature of the river reached 77 degrees, which is almost lethal for brown trout.

Fish in Trouble.

To help rectifty the situation, cold water from the bottom of the Oak Ridge Reservoir will be released into the river, which should bring the water temperature down considerably.

In Pequannock we make fish happy and we can do the same for you!

Hi Dee,

Living in Pequannock I did not hear about the trout problem.  I guess I need to read the local papers more.  Thanks for telling me and showing me active rain.
