Feels like Summer and things are heating up now!!

Well everyone, it is finally starting to feel like summer time in Alaska. We are starting to get up in the 50's and sometimes topping out in the 60's. I know for some people that were not raised in Alaska this weather has them perplexed whether or not they should stay or sell out and head back to the lower 48. Well, we can always hope we get weather like we had there for about 3 years in a row. But with that kind of weather we have lower fire danger. As long as it is not raining all the time I think I can deal with the cool. Think about it, when you are out working in your flower garden, or vegetable garden, or doing the Kenai twitch on the Kenai River. Isn't it much nicer when it is cool. This is the very reason I live in Alaska and stay, the sunny 70's are nice sometimes, but I like it cool, I feel more productive, and of course a garden and lawn use up much less water when it is not scorching outside, which is something I cannot be accused of knowing that much about.

Besides the weather starting to change, we are seeing the  housing market starting to move faster too. Not only locals, which are the base of our business, but the "tourists" that love our state and decide they must live here, are starting to show up, and who can resist Alaska, well, I for one cannot, so if you are not an Alaskan yet, you should work on that, life is too short not to know the joys and sorrows of livig in this great state.

Well until next time, enjoy your summer where ever you are, but if it raining, keep in mind that that too is a blessing. It may not be the one you were looking for that day, but the one you were given, and if you can turn even the negative into a blessing, life will be everything you want it to be...

Whoa... slow down with those scorching temperatures Linda Jo!  :)    I guess you'd just lose it if you were here in Atlanta with temps in the 90's.

It is not even summer yet and we are already in the mid 90's. So, I expect this summer to be a real scorcher.

Our real estate market is heating up too. More activity is abound for both buyers and sellers.
