Speaker Brian Kalchman- N2 Magazine
Brian came to tell us about the new Villa Park Magazine - Villa Park: The Hidden Jewel. The first issue should be sent out free of charge to all Villa Park residents. The magazine will serve to: Educate the residents about issues that concern them, announce upcoming events, keep everyone up to date on activities in the city, give meeting summaries, inform citizens of the by-laws and regulations, build home values and create a communication link between the neighborhoods, city and school district. Many of the articles will be written by Villa Park residents and there will never be more than 50% advertising in each issue. The magazine committee boasts several of our own rotarians- Teri Brooks, Linda Bartrom and Mark Schmidt and some of our members who will contribute articles to the magazine includes: Steve Stern and Lesslie Giacobbi - plus other VP residents. There will be a classified ads section that is free and there is enough advertising revenue to cover the cost of the first year's issues. If you wish to contribute to the magazine the deadline for submissions will be the 3rd of every month. Contact Brian Kalchman at 949-682-1151 or www.n2pub.com |
