In spite of rain predicted for the evening, lots of folks bring their picnic tables and chairs in preparation for the concert under the stars.

Fran, once you leave the main roads, it feels like you're in another century.  The peaceful central area is surrounded by the vineyards, with no modern intrusions at all (except the parked cars off in a side meadow).

Hi Brian,  why don't I see you dancing in any of the photos?  Don't be shy, put on your dancing shoes and boogie down.

Xinh, the only reason you don't see me dancing is because I was the one behind the camera...  You can bet that in between, I and my date were jitterbugging, too!

Beautiful location for such a lovely event....it looks like a lot of fun was held by all and I'm glad to hear that you were amongst the dancers while the band played on....

Hi Jo,

It was a lot of fun - I do like to dance when I have the chance!

Fabulous pictures, Brian--no need for me to do this post.  My significant other and I attempt to go once a season here, but, sadly, he is one who has to work on the "Budget", and, unfortunately, Pa is the last state to still be working on it.

Nancy, the cost to attend the lawn concerts is actually quite reasonable - only $15 per person, or $75 for a whole season pass.
