First let me preface what follows with a few tidbits.  Numero Uno, not sure if this idea has been laid out, if it has...it hasn't been to my knowledge or recollection.  Number two, to keep it short & sweet, I limited myself to ten individuals and none could be the actual AR Founders.  Lastly, of course, this list is bias to the individuals I've been exposed too and my actual take on what they have provided on this forum.

No Particular Order..................

1) Jeff Turner - This guy is innovative in my eyes.  He has pungent hints of technological genius and you can see that bleed on many of the posts he has contributed.  Above & Beyond that, check his pic on his profile....the guy even looks the part.  I've learned a lot from him, a lot I'd never even think of knowing.

2) Lenn Harley - Two words come to mind, Wisdom & Experience.  A well-written Real Estate Professional, Lenn's stuff sets a barometer from which most will never attain.  If knowledge is truly power, Lenn's a very powerful lady indeed.  If you want a mentor, this is a great place to start.

3) William J. Archambault, Jr - William's addition from my end may or may not be a surprise to many of you.  I guess the one thing that catapulted him in my eyes was Bill's Rules For Loan Rep's....classic stuff.  From my vantage point, and that is typically the only one I have, this guy protrudes wisdom for his craft.

4) Sarah Cooper- If Active-Rain needed a symbol to represent its heart, this gal would be it.  A lot of Featured Posts and Subscribed to blogs get there because of their content, their controversy, or their capturing of the imagination.  Sarah takes it one step further because her posts are always very well written to boot.  She is a heck of a writer and a kinder person you may not find.

5) TLW -  The Comment QUEEN Ladies & Gents!  She brings a healthy dose of fun and personality to Active-Rain.  But that's not why she's in...at least from my perspective.  She has, as I write this, 9485 points from commenting on other's posts.  What does that mean?  To me, it means she is extremely active here and reads a lot of posts from a whole bunch of people.  She does this more than anybody...now that is something to ROAR about.

6) Brian Brady - I once read something Brian wrote, I believe in a comment on somebody else's post if I'm not mistaken, that he referred to himself as a "Money-Geek."  Let's be honest folks, who else do you want handling your mortgage transaction (other than me, had to throw a cheap plug in there) than a guy like Brian, a Money-Geek.  But, he's much more than that, he not only knows his stuff but blends an aggressive & creative outlook with the very fundamentals of lending rationale.  If you want to know lending, Brian's the man.  And he's the most opinionated one around!

7) Ed Rybczynski - Ed's flat-out an outstanding writer and contributor.  Like William J. Archambault, Jr., he's got one of those names that isn't the easiest to pronounce and isn't breaking any point records here on AR....but take a look at his stuff and you may get an idea that this guy is a wonderful contributor and one the better overall writers I've read here of Active-Rain.

8) Rich Jacobson -  It's not 'Raining Men,' it's Raining Rich!  I've kind of sat back and watched this guy from a distance.  I've read his stuff from a distance.  I've saw his contributions, comments, & commitment...all from a distance.  There's something deep inside me that just flat-out respects Mr. Rich.  If Sarah were the heart & Brian were the brain, this guy may just be the soul of this place.

9) George Tallabas - You want inspiration & motivation wrapped up in a package of kindness, George is the guy.  One of the more upbeat individuals I've seen anywhere on the net.  He's so happy, I get depressed:-) Kidding...This guy brings a ton to the table and to some extent I still think he's vastly under-rated.

10) Bryant Tutas -  What does it take to be king, if even for a day?  Let's see....Great Knowledge, Humble Manner, A Way With Words, A People Person, Leadership Ability, & An Influential Presence that makes everyone around them better.  These traits, I've found, only skim the surface of why this guy is perhaps the Reigning King of Active-Rain.  He's Professional, Passionate, & Purpose-Driven in his profession & here.  If you can forgive his last attempt at Greatness :-)....you'll recognize a lot of qualities that makes his existence in Active-Rain a very successful & influential one.

There you have it, 10 people, my take.  As of 7:22 P.M. (Eastern Standard Time) on yet another TGIF.  I've put water in the pot, I ignited the match, I put the pot on the stove and fueled the pilot light.  For now, I'll leave that....as that.  Maybe the pot gets hot, maybe it even boils, maybe it will remain luke warm.  Whatever happens, thank you to all the above mentioned people, as your contributions have been greatly appreciated by yours truly.  I know I also failed to mention a lot of heavy hitters, seasoned AR veterans, Diamonds in the Rough, and a blossoming bunch of up and comers.  Tis the nature of the beast......

Lol Chris, maybe not a good idea but I was thinking about it on my drive home...so I figured I'd go with it.  Too often I decide not to post something because it may be construed as sucking up, making others mad, alienating others, or just because I think it won't come off as it does in my own thoughts.  I've kind of wanted to stray from that, I might as well be true to myself, or at least as close as I can be in my posts.  That's my $.02, keep the change:-)

Wow, Jason!  I'm flattered!  And although I think you've vastly overrated me, I tend to agree with your descriptions of everyone else!  The only one I don't know is William J. Archambault, Jr, so I'm going to check him out now.  What have I been missing?!

Sarah - Got to disagree on that one, I don't think I've overrated you at all.  I think you'll find that your posts and contributions speak and stand against pretty much anyone at this point.  I just knew you were going to play the humility card:-)

I said Hi to William and let him know you sent me.  :o)  "Humility card"!  LOL!  I almost asked Chris what in the world you could be sucking up for, I'm already subscribed to you, I can't give you a Feature and I pretty much agree with the rest of what you wrote ... but then I guess you just MAY get a Featured out of this so is that what he meant?!  But he made me laugh calling you a suck up, so I let it go.  :oD  (Until just now ... anyway!)

Sarah,

Ahhhh.....The Oft-Mentioned Feature Post Angle.  Honestly, at this point, I would say most of the posts I write aren't predicated by the Feature Phenom.  There was a time when that weighed heavy on my mind.  I guess a part of me kind of wants to do the more underground thing....leaving the limelight & spotlight to those that may appreciate it and yearn for it more.  Don't get me wrong, I love the avenues this can take my individual business, but AR has become an end in itself to good old me.  It combines two of the things I love doing the most in this world, writing & real estate.  It also affords me the luxury of being lazy enough not to force myself to write again, it had been 4 years since I did so in any capacity regularly, with this forum....that ended.

Jason...

I like what you said up there about staying true to yourself. That is such a 'must do' in this lifetime. I can't imagine how many people would achieve lasting success if they just stayed true to their hearts.

Now...As for the rest of the post, I thank you for the mention. And 'yes' I am the comment queen. Last time the AR guys checked on that I held first place on "Most comments MADE by a member of Active Rain". For me this is comment #9,488. As the stats work that's roughly 300 more comments than I have received.

Although doing all of this commenting can be difficult and time consuming...I enjoy it and I enjoy watching other's grow and finding their voices here on the network.

As for you...You have definitely been making an impact. I see your comments all over the rain and find myself always looking forward to what you have to say on a post :)

Okay. I have to go now. I am aiming myself at that '10,000th' comment mark :)

P.S. Blog Boy is coming right up behind me on this post. I better get the heck out of the way :)

Jason, Thems some mighty kind words my friend. I have these guys and gals on the top of my list as well.

Have you ever written for bucks? You really do have a very enjoyable style. It's an easy read but yet very intelligent. AND you should always write what you feel like writing. It really doesn't matter what others think. Always just be yourself and be true to you, no one else. I've found that to be the best way. Trying to second guess what others will want to read never works. Writing on AR should be fun. Keep doing what your doing.

TLW - In my heart of hearts, writing has always been a catharsis for the prognosis I call life.  Thank you for the nice comments and continue to comment....that ranks wonders in my book.  Especially comment on those who have something relevant and maybe even special to give and say...yet are tracked by being momentarily unnoticed.  You give back and that is cool.

BB -  Before I get anywhere here, thank you sir, you are one of a very rare kind.   For one moment in time, this can be construed as 'Sucking Up To The King' but something in me says....you got here the, "Not so easy way," in otherwards...you earn it every day of your life.

I have written for bucks.  In actuality, some of those bumper-stickers and one-liners may have been mine...before they were bought.  I used to do that on the side and then, well, not sure what led me off that path.  I love writing and it tends to make me 'Feel' more than anything else I could do in life.  I could very easily go off on a rant here but I will leave it as such, "Thank you amigo and you ain't seen nothing yet:-)"

Thesa - Thank you and obviously, I agree. BTW, you were one of the ones I missed...Diamonds in the Rough.

Sally - Well put.  This is my 'Betty Ford Clinic' for chronic writers & thinkers.  It relaxes me at the very same time that it soothes me....I don't mean to sound sappy but that is that.

Ann - I appreciate your input.  It's obvious that you are responsible for bringing some of these individual's into a larger 'Exposed Area' and kudos for the hard work & effort that very task undertakes each & every day.

I wish to chime in here Jason. Your post should have been a featured. Certainly better than anything I have written.  You are one selfless son a business man, what a way with words. You wrote a wonderful post and a tribute as well to those that lead the way for all us. To those that supported each other along the way until we all "caught up" and make it so much easier as they cleared the territory so we could build.

I remember something you said in a previous comment about having a "frat brother in you somewhere". My question -were you in a fraternity? If so which one.

Here is my tribute to you!

 Well Done!

Extraordinary list , though like ANN, I do not / have not / have not remembered only 1 of the 10 on the list.

The other 9.... PRIMO.

The idea in and of itself is beautiful.  I've been on 'Sports Sites" over 10 years where.... we let people be nominated, come up with a list of the top "25' nominees......then 'vote'.  Both Monthly winner and 'Player of the year.'

AR could fit that model.

Great job Jason.  Glad Ed was included in your list...I think he gets overlooked.

Paul - "this list is bias to the individuals I've been exposed too" and while I'm familiar with Kristal Kraft, I guess I wasn't as familiar with her as I should of been.  That is part of the beauty in this, Kristal will have a new subscriber in little old me:-)  Thanks Paul.

Rich - No can do, the list came off the top of my head and I knew it had the bias built in as I was writing it...it wasn't the be all/end all, just a salute on what I had read & been exposed too....like I said though, Kristal has a new subscriber.  Sorry amigo, no honorable mention for you:-)

Sandra -  This is the intangible benefit to this whole gig, Kristal Kraft is obviously one that I missed or haven't read as much as I should.  That changes now though, I was hoping mentions of individuals I had missed or wasn't astutlely aware of would come up...finally, it has.  Thank you!

Jason,

I am so glad you mentioned Bill; he offers YEARS of lending advice along with creative real estate solutions to people.  He is a champion of our cause.  His "rules" are printed out and posted in my office.  There is much a lebding rep can learn from him.

I am overwhelmed with the mention.  I struggle to think through fresh topics every week.  The hardest part of being a "money geek' is that you can write things that YOU find interesting that have little or no relevance to the audience at large.

The real VIPs are every Realtor, loan originator, stager, appraiser, title pro, inspector, et al who bring ideas from their industry to this forum to make us all more knowledgeable.  I have often said that Active Rain is the best educational tool online for industry professionals; this short blogroll you mention proves that point.

Brian,

I think Bill was a surprise to some, but after reading his stuff....it was a much different feeling that I got than reading most.  It just seemed to me I experienced an epiphany when reading much of what he said.  His "rules" are so simple they are genius.

Fresh topics, I hear you brother.  I love writing so much and often times I get disappointed that some of what I write isn't as Real Estate Oriented as it should be, at least on here.  I'm not a "money geek" but frankly aspire to be such.  Your mention was a no-brainer to me.
