Calling all kids, and kids-at-heart, to NorthPark Center, in North Dallas, to view the 2009 ORIX Parade of Playhouses, benefiting Dallas CASA ! You won't be disappointed! The houses are the culmination of big hearts, imagination, and creativity. Like magic, you will find yourself daydreaming about what it would be like to play in each of the themed houses. Imagine yourself maneuvering in the Battle Tank, dressing up in the Magical Wardrobe, painting in the Zen Art Studio, or managing space travel from Mission Control .
My personal favorite is the Magical Wardrobe designed and built by Erin Parisi and sponsored by Winstead Attorneys. The house is built like an over-sized armoire with a cheetah spotted floor. Of course, the exterior and interior are painted in shades of pink and purple to delight any young lady. Complete with chandelier, vanity with mirror, costumes and jewelry, it is ready for the imagination of the lucky winner of this house. Kudos to Walnut Hill Paint Company for their generosity and color advice.
The Parade of playhouses will be on display until August 23. Purchase raffle tickets for an opportunity to win the playhouse of your choice. Tickets are $5 each, or 5 tickets for $20. A $50 purchase provides you with 12 raffle tickets and 1 entry to win the Garage Playhouse, complete with a motorized black Fisher Price Power Wheels Ford F-150, AND a blue Smart Car. Yes a car for the kid and one for the kid-at-heart, too!
