Bull Moose on the Run in Red Lodge

The following is the first photo of a bull moose to make it into my Moose Monday from Montana.

I took this photo in October 2008.  This bull moose was caught running in the Grizzly Peak Mountain Homes subdivision, in beautiful Red Lodge, Montana.  I think he was camera shy.  In the background is Mount Maurice.

Next week, I will share a more close-up photo of this bull moose.

Looks like he just wanted a quick peak at the neighborhood.  I wonder if he liked what he seen?

Gerry,

Magnificent landscape. Even such large animal as moose looks small here. Quite the vistas you have there

William,

Quick peak at Grizzly Peak!  :-)   I am not sure if he wanted to see anything.  He seemed lost and in a hurry.

Jon,

Thank you.   Lots of nice landscapes and so many things to photograph!  :)   I agree that he looks small due to the lanscape but let me assure you, he was big and strong.  You will have a different perspective of the size of the moose when you see next week's photo.

Eric,

If you have some Minnesota Moose photos to share, perhaps I should create a new group for those who like to share the Moose Monday madness.   :)

Hi Gerry,

Hi Gerry - I'm sure the police, wildlife officers, TV helicopters, mass media etc. did NOT appear in Red Lodge when the moose showed up.  Of course, from time to time, whenever an unexpected animal turns up in the big city, it is big news and a lot of commotion.  C'est la vie!

Marc,

They sure didn't even though I thought the bull moose was running away from something.  Merci pour ton commentaire.
