Hopefully, this will be review for those who already live in Roswell, GA. But for anyone considering a move to the North Fulton, (suburb of Atlanta) area, take note of some great activities in Roswell.
The downtown area of Roswell is lined with quaint shops, art galleries and restaurants. This area bustles everyday, but on the third Thursday of every month from May through October, it officially becomes "Alive After Five". Local vendors and small business entrepreneurs set up tables and tents along the busy streets. Restaurant patrons spill out onto the brick sidewalks, and the art galleries are open receptions for enthusiasts.
A great small town event!
The other event that stands out in Roswell, occurs on the first Saturday of every month at Riverside Park all summer long. It is the Riverside Rocks Concert series and this year's theme is A Tribute to Tribute Bands. It's not too late to join in. Get set to enjoy music from the Beatles in September, and for the grand finale, the official Tribute Band of Jimmy Buffet, A1A will perform in October. Concerts start at 7:30, but you better get there early to secure your place on the lawn.
Roswell is a short 30 minute drive from downtown Atlanta. Making the trip for one of these events, is well worth it.
