As the owner of a new and growing realty franchise, I have had the pleasure of heading up our company blog. There are two main tips I learned along my journy of increasing our website traffic considerably simply by blogging:
1) Be consistent- Most Realtors blog once or twice then stop. Blogging consistently at least once a month, if not once a week, will increase your web traffic considerably. 2) Use keywords- If you blog about the same subject every time, your audience (if you have one) will get bored. However, you can use the same keywords and phrases every time you blog. This helps search engines like Google and Bing to find out what message you are trying to tell your audience. Thus if someone goes to Bing.com and searches for the keywords you are blogging about, BAM, your website comes up. So, pick your keywords carefully, they should be local and of course, relating to real estate.
