Thank you for this very important information.  I fly radio controlled airplanes, we have rechargeable batteries in them.  Whenever we use the chargers, we are told to put them in a metal container, just in case.  I believe most of us ignore the warning, so, the least we should do is put a smoke detector nearby. Easy, simple and safe.  Thanks again.

Dale that is correct; sure don't want any injuries. Kenneth also supplied some very good information. I don't think many people would take time to store the charger in a metal container but is a very good idea for safety purposes.

Howdy there Carl and Ceil

That sure was some mighty fine info, that Kenneth added. Another thing that helps, is to make sure the charger has air flow all the way arount it. To help it keep cool. Just like folks need to do with their laptops.

Dale you are right about the lap top, it definitely need to have air-flow. Ceil keeps the laptop propped up, she likes it that way better and it cools. She can see it better to type. She keeps it on the kitchen counter.
