If you are a customer of SRP in the Phoenix metro area, you can set up an appointment with them and they will pick up your old refrigerator or freezer for FREE, and give you a $30 reward! It is kind of like the CARS program, but for household appliances. By recycling your old fridge/freezer, you can save up to $100 a year on your electric bill by not running the second appliance. The only catch is that the fridge or freezer must still be running.
