Recently our Local Fox5 Station interviewed me regarding websites that keep on popping up that charge people for information about foreclosure properties.I had alerted them to a scam where a site called "ForeclosureAgency.com" was charging potential buyers up to $50 per month to get these listings. They were showng one of my listings that had already sold months prior for a ridiculously low price. There are many of these sites that continue to pop up all over the web and on TV.
Here's the story:

Stacy-everytime I hear an ad on the radio from a "local" real estate company about these incredible deals I wonder how many people are being sucked into believing you can really find a house in our area for the prices they quote. It's sad that people lose their hard earned money buying into this scams.
Stacy, great job and fantastic exposure. It's sad to see that so many people are scammed onto sites like this because of the desire to get the 'deal of a lifetime' on a foreclosure, and there's not enough good press out there to get people to realize that banks give their foreclosures to real estate agents they trust to get them sold quickly and without problems.
Thanks everyone. After I got a few calls about this scam I felt that it was my duty as an agent to protect any other buyers from this. There are so many websites out there that are misrepresenting our listings and putting our information out there. Truely sad!
