If you know that GNN means "gotta go now" and FTR means "for the record" you are probably text savvy.

We hosted a training on Friday by our ERA Business consultant. He introduced us to TXTERA. This has been available since January. I thought it was too complicated to explain and waited for help. It wasn't complicated at all.

TXTERA is a sign rider that will let the txt savvy consumer find out about a house by dialing a phone# and entering a listing #. Within seconds he will get all the pertinent info on the house and how to reach the listing agent. The only cost to this program is the cost of the rider. Under $5.00.

ICBW but ?\??  This is the future!!!!!

I would rather speak to someone & preferably in person - no texting for me - but my daughter is another story!

Good Morning Robert, The speed of technology produces something new every day. I just saw a computer without a mouse. Your hand glides on the screen. You can even write a messgae.

Good Morning Jacob, I guess the reason for this language (txt) is to save time. I hope the young (children) do not forget how to spell.

Hi Art, I also would rather speak to someone than to send messages. But we have to keep up. I have no plans to text anyone in the near future. I just need to know how to read a msg.

Good Morning Cait, I have seen how fast the children can write a message. It  is amazing. I still haven't figured out if their are correct codes or something like pig-latin.

Texting has it's moments for me, like when I'm at a closing or in a seminar, where I don't want to be rude and actually talk on the phone.  It's also great when my assistant needs me to call someone..she texts me the number, so I dont have to write it down. My 6 year old grandson loves texting me and those I love and keep!

Great idea, Vicki.  i will instruct my assistants to do the same.  you know they can text us directly from the computer too.

Janice,

The young kids think texting is like breathing.  My daughter gives me a heart attack cuz she tries to text while driving, eating, listening in class, etc. I finally asked her not to text when I'm a passenger in her car!

I don't text.  But if I did I would NOT use the "language" they do.  Drives me absolutely crazy, because it dribbles over into the rest of the language.  When I see someone using "u" for "you", etc., anywhere but texting, much as I hate to admit it, I stop taking them seriously.

That being said, I love TXTERA.

Hi Tricia, I do not text either. However, today I am going to Barnes & Noble to buy the text dictionary. I need to know what the text is saying. I always hate to ask someone to translate. It is a foreign language!!!

Hi Vicki, I am not even sure if my cell phone accepts Text messages.

Sounds like the next generation of toll free recorded message numbers.

I personally hate texting but that's just me.  I'm sure it's great for some.  I'd like to see the demographics on who texts regularly before using it in my marketing.

I text, it wasn't something I sought out, when some of my savy clients started to text me I thought I better begin but needed a crash course in predictive text from my kids.  My teenagers are really into it and I am sure they know all the abreviations,  I spell it all out, but I am sure with time I will lern more about this.

Good Morning Deb, I suggest you buy the text dictionary. I do not how the kids can text so fast. However, you are correct, We have to keep current.

Texting is taking over.  It's in email.  Blogs..  Some teachers are complaining that kids are starting to write their essays in textis-  Pretty soon they'll start calling it a language.  Reaction to that will be interesting! Some high school kids can't even spell simple words because of texting.  They also have this bad habit of looking down while you are talking to them.

Hi Marie, I thought kids would only know how to spell by texting. I guess we will have to take a class to know what is going on with their messages.

its definitely a neat tool, but I'm not so sure if it's the future.  Would probably be good to bring up in a listing presentation.

Janice,

I bought mine off our ERA website. I can not really remember what company sells them, but it was on the website. Then I went to Office Depot and got the stickers.
