Red Lodge, Montana - Plenty of Horses and Iron Horses!

In the photos below are two different types of horses that can be seen a lot in the Montana landscapes and in and around Red Lodge.

If you are found of either or both of them, remember that Red Lodge is the host every year to both the Red Lodge Rodeo on the weekend of July 4th and the Iron Horse Rodeo during the weekend around the middle of July.

The following photos were taken on Highway 78 (Just Northwest of Red Lodge) and on the same day on July 2009.

Which ones would you be more interested to see and or to ride?  The horses or the iron horses?

We have an "Iron Horse Saloon" biker bar here in Daytona Beach. LOL. It's a rough place! I'm afraid to go in  =/

Brian,

Thank you.  When I saw the stream and the horses, I knew I had to pull on the side of the road to capture the moment.  :)

Lisa,

The bikers we have in our area seem to be nice.  We had the Iron Horse rodeo in July (where the bikers where everywhere in town for the weekend) and there was no  incidents to report.

Michael,

If you traded as many horses as seen on my first photo, that should be a lot of horse power!  Thank you for the chuckle.

I love, love, love the horses grazing in the grass!

But I think in my other life I was a wild iron horse!

Thanks for this wonderful information and sharing your great stories!
