Inspirational Stories~Taking An About Face and Walking In Faith

Reflection

I find myself at a unique time in my life when both my personal and professional paths are crossing and meeting together on the same bridge....

Of which to say that these days I am on a new journey to self discovery in life. This journey is a bit scary, crossing untraversed territy with no GPS or roadmap.

As I walk I put one foot in front of the other and let my gut override my "logical mind" sometimes in order to move forward.

I know each step that I take wields another opportunity to uncover some of the greatest moments I will have in my lifetime. I know without taking these steps I will become the fool, hiding from life....

So I am determined to walk, sometimes teetering like a toddler, sometimes taking ardent strides. I push past my self created obstacles and move forward breathing in the life that inspires me.

And in doing, I pause a moment to consider Faith....

Taking an About Face and Walking in Faith

About Faith
To walk in faith takes some courage
Takes conviction
Takes a "talk to the hand" attitude to naysayers
Takes some clarity of vision
Takes being somewhat of a visionary
Takes a steady hand

I am choosing to walk in faith
Though it is difficult
Choosing to let the light in
Open the blinds and just let it in
Knowing that sometimes the hand that I look to won't always be there
Just cannot be there
Choosing to breathe the intangible and trusting that it will morph into a tangibility that can comfort me

About Faith
It is not easy
But it is a walk I am taking

Rebecca, Wonderful for you keep the paths together it makes the raod easier to fallow!

Hi Rebecca - It is not always an easy road to follow, but it sounds like you are on the right one, and I'm sure you will be fine.

Walking in faith is a great option...challenges, testing but a lot of growth!

Rebecca, For me it helps that I have had so many ups and downs in my life. I can look back and see that no matter what I have had to face I made it through it and came out stronger. My past gives me faith for the future.

God's speed on your journey.

Faith is what keeps things in perspective for me. I do try to walk in faith every day because I know I cannot live this life on my own.

Rebecca, Walking in faith is a life changing experience. Shortly after accepting Christ as my Savior (back in 1994) we moved from friends and family to another state. That was my first experience walking in faith and our savior has so blessed me.

Lately I have been reading a book on Prayer by EM Bounds and it has been INCREDIBLE. He wrote it shortly after the civil war but it could have been written yesterday.
