I just read a BLOG post by Mike Hogen titled 'Complacency Sucks' that talks about how easy money breeds complacency, and how a lot of Real Estate Agents have become complacent. The post goes on to outline how he (Mike Hogen) had become complacent in his business, but he woke up. He realized his attitude and made the necessary changes to get on the right track. Way To Go Mike, You Get It!
So many people today are still doing the same things, the same way and expecting different results. In their insanity they fail to see the error of their ways.
Times have changed, so it's time to change.
Now more than ever we need to strive to provide the 'BEST' service to our clients. We need to work well with our fellow agents. We need to have integrity in all of our dealings. There are many great REALTORS in this business, but 'it only takes a few rotten ones to spoil the bunch.'
Gandhi said it best 'Action expresses priorities.' Let your actions express integrity, honesty and a true lack of complacency. Don't be a whiner, there have been worse real estate markets. Don't be a blamer, houses are still selling, some agent (Mike Hogan) are having their biggest year. Be open to new ideas, and change and you can grow your business and succeed in any market.
