Pocono Mountains: A View From 30 Feet Up

Once is a while my job comes along with a perk or two and today was one of those days. The weather up here in the Pocono's has been very unstable over the past couple of weeks. Torrential rains at night and early morning, followed by sunshine, only to turn back into rain again. Today we had to inspect an REO out in Towamensing Trails. It was a 2700 square-foot house 3 stories high and cosmetically rough both inside and out. All three of us went out on this one. Imagine the shock we got when we climbed up the ladders, stepped onto the rooftop and looked around for the first time. Let me share our view with you:

Sometimes my job really does take my breath away.

Wow!  What a view.  Views like this, so they say, are worth more money when you sell a house.  But in our area I find that people do not spend all their time looking at the view and before long they're looking for a house on flat land.  I personally prefer flat land.

Well, Suesan.  Sometimes your job takes MY breath away.  I'd be trying to figure out how to fix this up if it were my home, cosmetically rough or not.  How can you walk away from that view?!

Sue,

Great shots and great view. I'd kill for a view again; don't have one now.

Wow, what a view. Love where I am, but the trees obscure the view.

So the view was only accessed from the roof? if so, they should have built up four stories. Or put a New York style deck on the roof. Kate
