.98 Million dollars per American to be paid to Afghan farmers

"The Obama administration is considering whether to pay off Afghan farmers to stop them from growing heroin poppies"

Are you kidding me? As I was watching the news last night the scroll across the bottom of the screen stated the amount of money we are talking about is $300,000,000. THAT MY FRIEND IS A LOT OF MONEY to pay off Afghan farmers to NOT grow heroin poppies.

In fact, right now, the count of Americans is just 7,181,655 over 300,000,000.

That means that .98 million dollars per American is being debated to be offered to Afghan farmers to stop growing heroin poppies.

Does anyone really think that the taliban won't also get this money and the farmers won't continue to grow drugs? Really?

I think my changes are better in winning the lottery than money being thrown at farmers who grow drugs and make millions are going to stop. (And I don't even have a lottery ticket currently)

I think we should all make our voices heard and tell our congressmen and congress women and Senators that enough is enough. Fix our own economic problems by stopping the spending. This is the MOST stupid idea I've read/heard about lately.

Tammy: The things our government throws money at are utterly ridiculous. I'm sure this makes sense to someone, but that person is not me.

Tammy - It is amazing to me that something like this would even be considered, much less seriously contemplated.

It just goes to show much like the joke of "Making homes affordable" plan...is a stinker.... this is equally a "stinker"

Tammy --- this makes absolutely no sense to me ---I would like to have a discussion with the person to whom it does make sense. Thanks for sharing.

Chris Ann- I keep coming in my head back to the question I saw one Senator ask at a "town hall" meeting... "Don't you trust me?" when they give us so much reason NOT to trust them.

Jason- I say send all Americans over 18 the .98 million dollars instead and see if that stimulates the world economy? (Actually I say don't spend the money at all) But my alternative plan makes better sense than their plan.

Konnie- I haven't seen a good idea come out of Washington DC in decades.

Liz- "they" don't seem to up for discussions, "they" seem to want to talk AT us and not with us. We should fire them and try again. I think all of congress should be recalled.

I think our entire body of elected dummies needs their very own pink slips. The US is not a money printer. Imagine the effect on our economy and inflation.

The terrorists are loving the thought of this plan. Don't even have to grow anything to support their cause. yee-haw.

Kim- we really have to watch them or they poke things like this in a health care reform bill and it gets passed because no one reads the bill.
