Just in case you are not aware Costa Rica sits between Nicaragua to the North and Panama to its South. The country has only 4 million people living in Costa Rica.
Costa Rica has no army and has been democratic for the last fifty years. They elect a president every four years. The current president which is Oscar Arias who by the way is a Noble Peace Prize person has done
remarkable things for Costa Rica in the last three years.
As an American you have the same rights to own property has a Costa Rican. Why do I think Costa Rica land is a good investment. Well first of all I own sixty acres of Ocean view property looking right at the Pacific Ocean. I'm presently developing the land http://www.pacificlandsales.com
In the next ten years or so 100 million baby boomers will be looking to retire. This figure includes Canada.
Where will all these people go? I'm sure some will follow in their grandparents/parents foot steps to sunny
South Florida. Some may go to Arizona. Maybe some to Las Vegas. I hope they stay away from the casinos!
It is estimateda good 10 million will go offshore. Thats a lot of people. This does not include Europeans
or Asians. Costa Rica has just signed a tourism treaty with China. The Chinese are building Costa Rica a new soccer stadium. Their are 100 million Chinese that earn enough money to travel outside China
That's really alot of people!
Costa Rica has great weather. Yes it rains a few month's out of the year but no hurricanes!
27% of the land in Costa Rica can Not be developed. Their is most likely another 20% that is too rural to consider to develop in our life time.
Someone once said they don't make land anymore. Does anyone remember who said that?
Costa Rica is 2-5 plane ride from most cites in the US. The cost of living is much less than the US!
The famous Wall St investor Henry Kaufmann who made million on Wall St is buying up land in Costa Rica.
He thinks the US market is too volatile.
Hey even Mel Gibson bought a farm for $25 million dollars recently.
My advise buy now before the whole world starts to go down their. It will happen I can't tell you when but it will happen.
In the last two years I have bought and sold several large farms in Costa Rica.
One last thought why I think people will move off shore. We all know the obvious. High taxes-medical
insurance etc. More and more people work from home of anywhere that has a Internet connection
You don't need to live in many cases ten minute's from your place of business. With a blackberry
fax machine and skpe you can be anywhere in the world.
