I watched a great site yesterday.  A pod of 6-7 Humpback Whales Bubble feeding.   For those of you who have no idea iof what that means...It is where the whale expell bubbles under the water surrounding a group of prey in order to concentrate them more and then the whales rise to the surface in unison to capture there dinner.

This behavour is done by a family group working together.   In our society today, I seldom see this 'family' cooperation anymore.   It seams to be me first and with our lifestyles today...we just don't make time.

It is something that I need to try to improve in my life!

William:  First, thanks for the lesson on how whales feed.  That is incredible that they all work together to achieve their goal.  What teamwork.

And yes... it is such a shame that we, especially these days, see such a lack of a "family feeling" in so much of what we do... but in business AND in family settings.  Things just aren't quite the same as they wer when I grew up... what seems now like centuries ago.  Somehow we lost that "family" feeling... and I don't like it !  Thanks for sharing... and for the "lesson."

Morning Bill,

Well said. Time for all of us to bring the "Family effort together". It is all too easy to get caught up in the business of life and overlook the real  MOST important things.

Thanks for the post.

Bill I like to think we all work so hard to provide for our families, but there are times that being together and doing things that have no cost associated with them are the best times we have.

Dear Bill,

Whales are amazing creatures. They are much more civilized than most people think. Nice post today!

The world has a lot more sharks than whales these days. Everyone is out for number one and the rest can get their own. It's sad because we could all get much further by just working together.

@ JL:  You better be careful with talk like complaining that "everyone is out for number one and the rest can get their own."  Glenn Beck will accuse you of being a "Socialist."  LOL.

Karen Anne:  There are more sharks or shark types out there?  Even the baby whales have to watch out for orcas and sharks!  There is too much me-me-me and not enough we.

I see many families that just drift apart and never connect or help each other.

Nature seams to still have it right...it's us humans with a brain that seam to muck it up.

Everyone is going in their own "direction". The family unit as we knew it has disbanded and has bee replaced by social media sites. That's the new "family". Sad but true.
