Pawsitively Professional Service - When It Comes to Real Estate in Red Lodge, Call or Visit Gerry at Prudential Red Lodge Real Estate

So I waited till the last day to enter this contest!  I have lots of nature photos of Montana but which one to chose for the contest?   What animal should be the featured animal in my photo: the black bear, the moose, the buffalo, the elk, the egret, the red fox, the mountain goat, the eagle, the mountain lion?  Decisions, decisions, decisions!

As I was at the office today and looking for ideas for this marketing contest, a truck pulled up and parked right in front of the office.  As usual, when I opened the office, I had brought out a doggie bowl with water.  When I saw these two cuties on the back of the truck, looking towards me through the office window while they were waiting for their master to return, I decided to pay them a quick visit.  I went to them and brought the water bowl within their reach so that they can drink some water and quench their thirst.  I also got to pet them and to thank me, they decided to let me take the following photo of them.

When I looked at the photo and realized that the younger of the two dogs was pointing (with his right front paw) towards the open door of the Prudential Red Lodge Real Estate office, I knew this was the lucky break and inspiration I was looking for to enter!  With a little editing to add some text, here is my entry for the Nature and Marketing contest which ends tonight at midnight.  For the contest entry rules, please visit the following post by Russel Ray: Announcing the "Nature & Marketing" contest

Oh Gerry, you are so clever.  What a great ad for the contest.  Like you, I also waited til the last minute to post a couple this morning.  I love how you put the little photo of yourself by the door.

You were lucky to find one of those magical photo opportunities.  I worked for a real estate company for over 7 years called Countrywide and just after I left it changed to a Prudential.  My old Broker now owns 12 Prudentials around Ontario.

Great entry.  Good luck.

Jenny,

Thank you for the compliments.  I sure was lucky to capture this photo!  About a minute or two after I took the photo, the owner came and left with his truck.  The window of opportunity was a narrow one but to have the dogs look at the camera and pose the way they did in the photo was the biggest surprise.  Like I mentioned it in the post, that was their way of saying "thanks" to me for the water.

The little photo was an after thought.  The initial photo was showing an empty mail box by the door (this is where we put in our real estate guide for people to pick up after hours).  I thought it would be a better use of the space and since I could not be standing by the door and take the photo at the same time, this was the next best thing.  :)

Cynthia,

It sure took me a lot of time to get in and participate (from the time I was aware of this contest to the time I entered).  But the inpiration finally came today along with these unexpected models.   :)

You have been doing pretty good yourself with your photos lately and with your entries for this contest! So far, your peachy entry gets my vote but I have to go back and check all the latest entries (to be fair to everyone) when the contest closes.  Thank you for your kind words.  Much appreciated.  Good luck to you as well.

Hi Gerry - Great shot and captions.  The left hand dog was very co-operative and looks like he is talking right to me.  Very kind of the broker of record (not sure what the term is in Montana) to place your photo prominently beside the door and between the two black and white signs. :)

Jenny - Countrywide - given what we know now about Countrywide in the USA, it's probably a good thing that your former broker of record changed to Prudential many years ago.  Otherwise, he could have had branding issues in the past couple of years.

Marc,

The term here in Montana is Broker Owner.   I am glad you liked the shot and captions.  It was the dog on the left who told me to enter this photo for the contest.  :)

Paul,

Aren't talking dogs a great marketing idea?  It would not have happened if I did not run into them on the last day of the contest.  :)

I like this one Gerry!  Terrific ad! It was the perfect opportunity and you saw it, and they are nice looking dogs,  too.  Good luck with this one, it looks like a winner to me.

Mary,

Thank you for the pawsitive feedback!  Isn't there a saying that some of the greatest things were discvored by accident.  This was a happy occurence that happened to me to prevent me from thinking too long which one of my numerous nature photos to post to enter this contest on the last day prior to the deadline.  :)

Kevin & Monica,

Thank you.   Let's say that these were unexpected models and the exact moment captured (with the dog on the left having one paw pointing towards the open office door) was a surprise too.  It was not rehearsed or staged!  :)  One or two minutes after I was done taking the photo, the owners of the pickup truck came up and drove away with the two dogs/models.
