Albert Pujols

Columbia SC   I've been an unabashed St. Louis Cardinals fan since I was about 8 years old.  Even after moving and living hundreds of miles away the Red Birds are in my blood.

Of all the players I've seen come and go, Albert Pujols is the greatest.  He now has nine seasons with a .300 average, 30 homers, 30 doubles and 100 RBIs, tied with LOU GEHRIG for the best in history! 

And not once has his name been linked to steroids.

Congratulations Albert.

Terry - It's such a shame that baseball sunk so low you have to point out that Pujols has never been tied to steriods.  That should be the underlying assumption, but it is no longer.  I think the magnitude of his accomplishments are overshadowed by ongoing scandals and are also somewhat diluted by those who did take steroids.  Over time though, stats like the ones you cited will more readily separate him from the crowd and he will be remembered as one of the great ones.
