Today I had the good fortune to meet Jennifer Malinowski, program manager for Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association (GLREA). GLREA has undertaken a HUGE project and is putting together the Second Annual Michigan Energy Fair! The countdown has begun ... countdown here!
Jennifer was explaining the many workshops that will go on through the weekend. They have 5 Tents for workshops which are scheduled throughout the weekend. The workshop schedule is very exciting! Among the smorgasbord of workshops are on costs/benefits of energy efficient homes, technology projects "Biodigester Plant in Ravenna Michigan, LEED sessions, home canning and more! For the full workshop schedule you can click my links to the GLREA Energy Fair Workshop Schedule. GLREA has provided a very nice .pdf schedule that you can print out.
Banquets and Music will be featured for the weary travelers and excited students each night of the fair.
Friday evening features a delicious menu featuring locally grown organic food and for dessert! The dance band K Jones and the Benzie Playboyz
Accordians and fiddles!!! Onekama will be having a great time Friday!
Saturday evening the Energy Fair features a tasty BBQ featuring Grilled Mediterranean Chicken and more musical entertainment! Saturday will feature the duo Seth Bernard and Daisy May Erlewine recently featured on NPR.

(does this take you back a few years??)
What a great way to end a great day of learning, networking and enjoying the beauty of Michigan, Michigan Style. GLREA sure knows how to combine fun and fellowship while organizing an extraordinary event!!!
