Well I hate to toot my own horn.  OK, that is a lie.  Sometimes when the market is down it is good to hear some good news.  At first I was not sure if we were the least worst or we actually did pretty good.  As July was our best month in a few years, I guess we did pretty good.  This is for SOUTH TEXAS REGION and not for the entire state.  We will probably never win the most homes sold as our price point is double the state's average.  

Now there is August......... OK...that is enough tooting of the horn for the day............

Congratualations!!

I always find it funny when companies count "written" volume as a category.  I could go write 20 contracts, but it's the closed ones that count!

It is a STUPID category.  OK, I said it.  I feel better now.  I don't feel much better about "listings taken" either.  Kinda interesting though.... the first company I worked for complained to me that my bust out ratio was too low.  The thought is that you are not selling hard enough if your bust out ratio is low.  Don't hear too much about that anymore.  I have mixed feelings on that one..... How 'bout this one: I don't really care too much about closing volume either.  I just care about profit.  I don't think that one will ever be posted by any company.

I dont think written volume is dumb at all.....  It shows that you are working and buyers are at least making offers!!
