Mortgage deliquency rate hits all time high in 2Q

How can that be? The administration has a Mortgage modification plan on the table and the big TARP recipients are showing massive profits and paying huge bonuses.

The delinquency rate on U.S. mortgage loans hit an all-time high in the second quarter of 2009.

Wow am I surprised!

I see the balance sheets of the biggest getting well and the common citizen on the street getting ignored. The election of 2010 can't come fast enough. I am ashamed of the way our money has been used to prop up arrogant self serving institutions and politicians. I mean really ashamed....

Nothing for you to be embarrassed about.  The banks, politicians, regulators, et al. are the ones who should be ashamed and they would - if they had any shame.

I wonder how many mortgages are delinquent to try and force the banks to work with them on the loan mods. It has been proven over and over again that the banks won't deal with the mortgage holders while they are struggling but still current. It's a shame that you have to go delinquent for them to take notice.

Unfortunately the "mainstream" media continues to echo the administrations assertion that the economy is showing improvement, while all of the economic indicators actually flounder.

Just think how much better the economy would be if King Bush and Prince Cheney hadn't spent a trillion dollars invading foreign countries! That trillion dollars would have paid for health reform -- LOL. Instead, we have thousands of military personnel who are dead, or they are lifelong cripples who will need medical care for the rest of their lives. And guess who provides that medical care? Yep. The Federal government!
