If you leave a comment, Russel will visit your blog and comment.I'm pleased to announce some preliminary and unofficial statistics about the recently ended ActiveRain Nature & Marketing contest.

Remember that ActiveRain members will be the judges. I'm creating a voting system and we'll start voting real soon.

Many of the entries were simply amazing, and some of them even made me hang my marketing head in shame they were so good, innovative, creative, and, best of all, didn't cost anyone any money. The those three basics of great Guerrilla Marketing:

  1. Time
  2. Creativity
  3. Energy

My roof is leaking!First, there were 223 entries from 83 people, which I believe is an ActiveRain record for most entries and participation by the most people. I left an acknowledgement comment on all 223 entries. If you have an entry that made it before the deadline of midnight Central Time on Sunday, August 16, but you have no acknowledgement comment for it, please let me know post-haste.

Second, lots of people had lots of fun by entering multiple times. Here are the top five ActiveRain members with multiple personalities, lots of creativity and energy, and too much time on their hands:

  • Judi Barret with nine entries
  • Karina Leal with nine entries
  • Cheryl Marantino with nine entries
  • Heather Chavez with ten entries
  • Kathy Streib with twelve entries

Thanks to everyone who participated and had fun. At least I think you had fun. I'm sure when everyone else sees all the entries, they'll be sorry they didn't have fun, too.

More to come soon about voting, so stay tuned.

This is obviously was a great idea for a contest!  I loved so many of the entries... I don't know how a choice is going to be made!  We certainly have a creative bunch here on AR.
