Seller’s Tip #3: Get a Home Inspection

 

Although most buyers will have a home inspection performed as a necessary component of their offer to purchase, conducting a home inspection of your own prior to listing your home for sale can help to eliminate many surprises when the buyer’s home inspector report is made available to you. Often, buyers will request for repairs to be made, and if those repairs are not made, they will request a credit for those items at closing. As a seller, you can avoid many last minute changes in the contract to purchase by either having the items repaired or corrected before offers come in, resulting in a full price offer, or, if you are either unwilling or unable to make those repairs, you can reduce your listing price accordingly.

William I did not realize that the house were selling that low in that area.  No wonder many of them were on the market such a short time.  Those were great deals.

Crazy thing is, George, is that this particular area of the East End is a great area. I think that foreclosures are the driving fator behind why the home values are so low, though...
