Consistent in its support of the plan.

Who's on first, what's on second from Abbott and Costello come to mind.

The Obama administration on Tuesday insisted that "nothing has changed" about its support for a government-run health insurance plan, after liberal Democrats threatened to abandon a health care reform bill that doesn't include the so-called "public option."

Obama had earlier in the year described a public option as critical.

Sebelius said in an interview Sunday that the option is "not the essential element."

During a speech on Medicare Tuesday, Sebelius insisted the administration has been consistent in its support of the plan,

Ok let's see, I promised them this if they voted for me and then I promised them this if they supported my proposals. Oh wait, maybe it was, Hell I forget, I'll just lie to em all!!!

I'd rather have Micheal Vick be in charge of health care for my dog, than have Barak Obama be in charge of health care for me!

There's a pattern in this administration. Enact whatever new spending programs you want, move on to the next one while the previous one fails, then demonize anyone who disagrees with the new proposals.

Terry, It's kind of like the Carter administration. On odd numbered days the public option is not critical to the bill and on even numbered days it is.

Terry - does it matter?  You won't be happy no matter what is proposed.  It's obvious the Dems are trying to win support among moderate repubs, which will never happen.

Jon - saw the same pattern under W only more so.  Rubber stamp after rubber stamp on bad legislation until it all crashed down on them.  End result, the "great recession".  Oh wait, that's Clinton's fault.  Never mind.

Brian & Marie - Mike Vick?  Call granny and tell her to go get her own health care plan, refuse medicare.  Bet she loves it and will call you crazy.  Then ask her about the prescription drug plan the GOP passed under W that added hundreds of billions to the national debt and left a donut hole the size of Texas in her prescription drug coverage.  The GOP have a knack for doing very little and when they do actually something, it's often wrong.

I forgot the health care reform mess is all George W.

I'll end up paying for my health care, like I do now. I just don't care for paying for some young person who chooses not to buy health care who can afford it more than me. Look at the the stats for the people who aren't covered,1/3 are between 18 and 27 and make on average $50k per year. In my day we called that a lifestyle choice.

As an independant contractor, will I pay more for my health care and be taxed on that $800 I pay out of my pocket?

Terry,

They are certainly all over the place when they say one thing but do another.

John, Bush is not in office anymore and he made his share of mistakes. Frankly, I think Obama supporters should realize that by now.

Also, you are right about not likeing anything they propose, taking my money and giving services to someone else is not what I want.

Looks like someone got their panties moist over the fact that the public option maybe dead.

Newsflash, the public option is not only not dead, its gaining strength.

We didn't elect a wimp to the highest office, people. You rightys are underestimating the President again -like you did last year. It's not going to be pretty. Grab your kleenex and put on Glen Beck.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will be moving forward.

Noqui,

Just the opposite it seems like if anyone finds a lost back bone they need to send it to the President, it took all of about 12 hours for the far left whackos in congress to tighten his leash, even though it seemed like he might actually go along with the will of the people.

Now they're talking about forcing it through using the nuclear option.  Talk about determined idiot thinking!

The Progressive Caucus outnumbers the Blue Dogs- they are the will of the people. This is what Obama ran on.

Even now the lies are being debunked all over the media- its just a matter of time. The problem with the teabagger nazi koo-koos, is that they forget we live in the time of the Google. Any lie they propogate- whether killing grandma, access to your bank account, health care for illegals, etc- those lies are eventually ferreted out by the Google Machine.

Nogui, you are right, all the info in this post came from Google searches. Since Hussien Obama takes both sides of every street and issue, there will never be a problem. When you can't remember your last lie Google is here to remind you.

Can one not change one's mind? I'd rather have someone in charge who is flexible than someone like King Bush and Prince Cheney who thought that they were the only ones capable of making decisions for America. It could get really interesting to see just how those two, especially Cheney, corrupted the Constitution and laws of America.
