I wonder if any of you "Active Rainers" are involved with Trulia. It looks like something that might be worth $30 a month for a Realtor to get involved with. Any Thoughts?
I use the free version too. I like the Q and A section. Wish you good luck.
I use it and I don't think the pay version is worth it. I have several friends that had told me they used to pay for it and got nothing for it and gradually dropped off. You can use it for free and if you get anything from it you can decide to further invest. You can answer questions, blog and have all your listings there at no cost. I send my clients weekly reports from there and the client views are minimal and I have over 20 listings there. You will get more from here at Active Rain than you will from there I have found.
I don't pay the fee. I am very involved in the Q&A and I get a lot of calls from Trulia: I also use thier blog format and get good SEO, But Never copy and paste your AR blogs to any other format....change them aournd so they are not the same....Google can detect copy cats, even your own and will not give it good ratings. http://www.trulia.com/profile/id/331413
What about Zillow, do you use that? I am still warming up to Zillow.
Thanks for all your insightful comments. Don't you just love the ActiveRain gang?
Trulia Pro has worked very well for me. I believe that with the help of Trulia and the extensive amout of time and effort I have invested through www.trulia.com; it was only the wisest next step to take my advertising on Trulia to a whole new level. Personally we use this as another key feature that we can promote to our sellers because w/ Trulia Pro it will certainly give your listings more market time and exposure than if you are not a Trulia Pro.
I love Trulia Pro. It's $30 well spent every month. The activity reports that it sends my clients every week makes my clients feel like I am going above and beyond for them. The spotlight ads are a nice touch, as well. Whether or not theirs much activity from them, sometimes clients just like to see that I am "showcasing" their home as much as possible. In addition, my trulia blogs and comments have appeared much higher in the google searches than AR's. I prefer AR for the professional to professional contact, but Trulia is much more designed towards the consumer, in my opinion. I have actually had deals with clients that directly resulted from Trulia, whereas AR has yielded a referral or two. Both great platforms, but when it came time to vote with my wallet, I paid for Trulia, and still do.
