What's really going on in America with so many historic statues being tore down? Some statues that have been around for 100's of years. Are people trying to change our history by tearing down landmarks & rewriting history books?Personally I think it's crazy and barbaric to tear down historic statues, put up by the governments across the nation and tore down by protesters.I heard a buzz that some statues of Jesus may be torn down because some are not politically correct. The Satanic Temple unveils its statue of Baphomet, a winged-goat creature, at a rally for the first amendment in Little Rock, Ark. on Aug. 16, 2018. And what about this statue that was put up only 2 years ago? How would anybody know what Satan looks like accept what we read and see in books.Let me get this straight, tear ...

Memorial Day (previously, but now seldom, called Decoration Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the military personnel who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. The holiday is now observed on the last Monday of May, having been observed on May 30 from 1868 to 1970.  Many people visit cemeteries and memorials on Memorial Day to honor and mourn those who died while serving in the U.S. Military.  Many volunteers place an American flag on graves of military personnel in national cemeteries.  Memorial Day is also considered the unofficial start of summer in the United States, while Labor Day, the first Monday of September, marks the unofficial start of autumn.  Two other days celebrate those who have served or are serving in the U.S...

TRUMP 2020 Make America Great Again X 2 With ancestors from Russia & Romania I have been clairvoyant with answered dreams and insight into the future. Sometimes it can be a gift and then sometimes a burden. Most of my life I have kept these thoughts and senses to myself because some people think a person like this might off their rocker, but I am over that now.Let me share 3 dreams that I have had out of many that have come true ...I had vivid nightmare the night before September 11th 2001, sweating for hours in this dream counting thousands of dead bodies, screaming people, fires and total disaster. Only to be at my brothers home the following morning watching news footage of the disaster. I even wrote President George Bush Jr with no response. On April 28th 2016 I wrote a post knowing ...

Who's ready for Independence Day? Born and raised in the United States of America Robert Vegas Bob Swetz is very proud to be an American. I don't care if Americans are disliked in other countries across the globe, I am proud to be an American. I have been to many different countries around the world and I am always thrilled when I step back on American soil. Many people don't really know why Independence Day is celebrated, and I think this is quite sad ;o( For anyone that doesn't really know the true meaning of Independence Day, Google the holiday and you may appreciate more of what we have in the United States of America. And for anyone that dislikes Vegas Bob wearing this American flag around my face ... too bad! While I was working on a construction project there was big cloud of dust...

Have a wonderful Presidents Day everyone   I would like to wish everyone to have a wonderful Presidents Day in 2015. Even though I am not a huge fan of the United States Government and or other Governments, I do know that the United States of America has had some very "Great" Presidents.   So that being said, let's take a moment and think about what a great country we live in and how the United States of America has been directed and formed by "Great" men.

Hey D.C. Let’s Talk Turkey. Over our wonderful Thanksgiving meal with family and friends our conversation turned towards the Washington D.C.’s shenanigan, economical fall out and current events. Here are some of the comments and suggestions for our government that were thrown out, much of it plain common sense.   Let the career Politian’s be paid minimum wage, the majority of them are millionaires. To trim 1 trillion dollars off the budget, take 100 billion out of the Pentagon budget every year for 10 years, that is a drop in the bucket for them. Corporations have up to 4 trillion dollars out of the country, let them bring it back to the USA tax free but as long as they invest it in buildings, jobs, educations and not dividends. No matter how you sugar coat it, we are in the 2nd Depress...

Feel like we are spinning our wheels? Is the economy like a yo yo? Should we just put it all on Black and hope for the best?   Now, keep in mind, this post is a slight rant, will be based on my opinion based on knowledge and some research, and mostly to just make everyone aware on what is going on. Yes, this post will have a negative tone within, but we can turn that around, but it will need to be a collective group effort country wide.       Not sure if any of you saw this intereview by 60 minutes on December 5th, 2010 regarding an interview with Ben Bernanke.   This video is a little scary because it sounds like Ben Bernanke wants to tell us what he truly knows and thinks.  Listen to his voice at times, when he is trying to answer a few questions. His voice gets a little soft and you...

Have we been in a crumbling economy in the last few years?  What about a crumbling real estate economy in the last 2 years? In my opinion, I would say yes to both questions. In some cases, do we have too much government prevention or regulation at times?  Jason Crouch wrote an excellent article the other day : Is Congress Working to Create Yet Another Potential Hurdle to Real Estate Recovery? In this post, Jason makes a great point about how the government seems to intervene and over regulate, thinking that it will help our economy and potentially our real estate economy.  So what is it that Jason brings up and what the government wants to try now?  It's eliminating the YSP, which is called yield spread premium.  I wanted to write this post because there was so much information being ...

FHA LOANS need to go !!!!   FHA loans need to go....  so many defaults... GROWING by the thousands. If we don't kill FHA mortgages now, the economy will crumble. Sound confusing?   Okay Jeff, have you flipped your lid?  NOPE - I had written this blog last week, FHA loan rumors have become a reality. Because of this post, I have seen a few comments stating that we need to abolish FHA loans. Here are some comments in regards to these FHA changes in general... "The FHA is basically bankrupt since they haven't figured out that making loans to people with lots of debt and practically no money isn't such a good idea." "What continues to frustrate me is that all these government bank bailouts, loan purchasing, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guarantees, FHA expansion, tax credits, etc. are doing ...

How have I gone all this time without doing a post about this Virginia couple's 15 minutes of fame.Yes, I'm talking about Michaele and Tareq Salahi, the Virginia couple who allegedly crashed the state dinner to honor the Indian Prime Minister,  Manmohan Singh.  And they both looked pretty stunning.  She wore a gorgeous red and gold lehenga, and he was quite dashing in his formal black tie get up.  They totally looked like they belonged there. They managed to work their way past the Secret Service and rub elbows with bunches of people in high places who'd actually been invited to the event. They attended the cocktail reception and had photos taken with President Obama, Vice President Biden, our very cool mayor, Adrian Fenty and his wife Michelle, Katie Couric and some other famous America...

A quick question for all of you: If you were to choose a different profession, what would it be?  I have a huge interest in journalism, so I'd like to be a reporter.  Specifically, I'd like to be a political reporter............covering the White House. ( www.whitehouse.gov ) Now, THAT would be interesting!  The election results are fascinating this evening, don't you think? How about you?  What do you want to be when you grow up????

Did you know that legislation has been proposed(HR 3044) to put an 18 month moratorium on the Home Value Code of Conduct (otherwise known as HVCC)? Through enormous pressure by the National Association of Realtors and the National Association of Mortgage Brokers there has been a bill introduced to put an 18 month moratorium on the HVCC.  Some critics have said that NAR was caught sleeping on this issue as they were silent about the ramifications of HVCC until after the fact. Before you start jumping for joy that HVCC will be stopped, first understand the process.  Now that the bill (HR 3044) has been proposed it has gone to committee - in this case the bill is in the House Committe on Financial Services.  It is important to note that this is where most bills die (in the committee).  The...

It was the 34th bank failure of the year but the LARGEST one so far this year.  Today BankUnited has been seized.  BankUnited Federal Savings Bank had $13 billion in assets as of May 2.  BankUnited was based in Florida and is Florida's largest bank. Under the FDIC insurance program, deposits are covered up to $250,000.  This bank failure is expected to cost the already depleted fund $4.9 billion.  My longtime blog readers may remember I wrote a previous post about this topic and I cited that the FDIC Fund only had $18.9 billion at the end of 2008.  After the 34 bank failures - I wonder how much is left?  The FDIC has raised the fee banks pay for FDIC insurance in an attempt to raise money for the fund.  In addition, Legislation passed by Congress just this week allows for the FDIC to bo...

Credit Card Bill passes the Senate  The new credit card bill passed the Senate today by a margin of 90-5.  The bill contains a provision to limit the practice known as "universal default rate".  The universal default rate is a practice whereby a credit card company would increase your interest rate (usually very high) for being late on either that card or ANY OTHER debt you have.  Under the new bill the credit card companies would not be able to raise your rates until you are 60 days past due and even then they would have to restore the lower rate if the consumer makes 6 months of minimum payments on time. The new bill would also impose restrictions on credit cards for people until 21.  Under the bill, credit card applicants who are under 21 years of age would be required to prove their...

Petition to change the Home Value Code of Conduct    Here is a link to the petition to change the Home Value Code of Conduct: http://www.petitiononline.com/hvcc/petition.html It is important for everyone to go and sign the petition if this law is going to be changed.  How many appraisers do you know who have been put out of business by this new law?  I personally know one appraiser who has no work because of this new law.  He was charging $325 for an appraisal.  Now he has no work because his mortgage brokers can not order appraisals from him.  He was just solicited by one of the big conglomerate Appraisal Management Companies to work for them.  The AMC is charging $450 for an appraisal and is only willing to pay him $200 per appraisal.  What ever happened to democracy and competition -...

Mr. Ben Bernanke is considered the 4th most powerful man in the world in the banking sector and can at times operate independent of the President of the United States. Not sure if you watched the 60 minutes interview of Ben Bernanke. I was impressed because he seems down to earth, humble, and caring about Main Street USA. - Mr. Bernanke grew up in Dillon, a small town in South Carolina.  He remembers the culture of Dillon and applies it to his decisions.  In the interview, they talked about his childhood home that was bought by another family, which is now in foreclosure. You could see that something of this magnitude has struck 'home' with him and he wants to do something about it.       As we know, when it comes to the media, no matter if it's news print, television, the radio, or...
