Hi Kathy - We went looking for the ducks at Lithia Park this past Sunday, and they were gone...off taking a stroll of their own ;->
Thanks for stopping by.
Karen - Great picture. It always seems when you feed one duck they all come running.
Karen,
They truely seem to be enjoying the sunshine! Such happy little duckies!
Judy
Karen,
Isn't that just dicky? A whole clan out for a SUnday afternoon stroll waddle in the park. :)
Steve
Robert - These ducks are so used to people feeding them, they were heading our way assuming we would do so as well. But, the park has requested people use food provided vs. their own for the health and safety of the ducks, and the park's was gone.
Judy - Enjoying the sunshine, as were we! :-) It was a beautiful summer day.
Steve - Their clan, and mine after a big lunch. :-)
Pat - Sometimes it's like they are posing for the camera.
Thank you all for your comments.
We're not allowed to feed the duckies here in San Diego. It has something to do with a California law about interfering with wildlife. :(
Jen - Thanks for stopping by.
Russel - I can understand the not interfering with wildlife rule. It feel sad when I see the wildlife charging the summer visitors for their freebies, knowing what the cost might be for the wildlife come fall/winter when the visitors are gone and the babies haven't learned how to feed themselves. Plus, the stuff the visitors feed them sometimes is atrocious!
Great title for your geese! I lived in Medford for a year - 2002-2003 - and loved spending time in Ashland. I have friends there. My brother lives in Jacksonville. The Britt was my favorite thing about the place! Loved the concerts there.
Debi
Hi Debi - Small world we live in, isn't it? You left right before we got here (we arrived in 2004 via So. California). The Britt does put on some great concerts in such a lovely outdoor ampitheater. Thanks for stopping by.
Karen - I absolutely love this pix! Everytime I come across it, I can't help but giggle at the thought of walking down the street and seeing this in the park. What a trip!
