I have to admit, I feel very strange on this.  I never thought I would be using a blog. But there are some great ones on Active Rain so far that I have read and enjoyed.  But I have no clue what I am doing lol.

I see lines that say tags, graphics, etc.  I thought myself self as a technical person and I am lost on this stuff.  Still, I will give it try since there are so many helpful people here.  I also want to reach out to all my clients and enjoy a more casual environment with them.  Is this a method to doing that?

How much fun is it to blog? Also, I would love to get some opinions on my website.  It is a current work in process and is located at www.stefanwest.com.  I hope I can look back at this blog in a week and think how basic and silly I was to be freaked out by it lol.

Stefan

Welcome to Active Rain, Stefan!   You'll feel at home before too long.  Lots of nice people here.

Your website is awesome.  I'd like to see a photo of a house on the front rather than the photo that is there - my only suggestion!

Stefan, welcome! Just continue to read and process what is written and you'll get it. There are so many knowledgeable people on AR that it won't take long. Be prepared to become somewhat addicted to your pals on AR. You will get to "know" certain bloggers and will want to subscribe to their posts. If you continue to work at it, it'll come. Just find your blogger voice as someone here has mentioned! There is a group entitled blogging for practice, or something like that. Not to worry, we were all novices at this not long ago.

Hi Stefan !

Welcome to AR !

Blogging is one of those things that grows on you. You start out wondering what to write about, then before you know it you have so many things to write about that you find you have to curb yourself from blogging !

This is a lovely place to learn...lots of wonderful, helpful people. It does work too, I have a lot of posts that are now number one on google searches for various things to do with my area. Can't beat that !!

Hope you are having a pleasant evening,.

I like your website. Love the sound affects that go along with the falls...  Welcome to AR! Many, many nice folks here and VERY helpful.  I am not one of them (the helpful ones), but I am nice. LOL    I enjoy AR for a zillion different reasons, and FUN is one.  You'll meet up with some extremely serious people and the not-so serious, like me.    Enjoy!

Stefan West, just write about things you KNOW about and YOUR LOCAL MARKETS etc.

I always try to remember that when people are reading your blog - they skim it - they go from heading to heading, so maybe try that.  Good luck!

Stephan,

As a competitor of your just to the north in Hemet I should tell you that ActiveRain probably isn't for you.  Afterall, you will feel goofey just sitting down and blogging.

Your clients probably don't wnt to lknow much about you - not on a personal side that your writing would reveal.  complete wste of time and energy.

And then those pretty pictures you have on your website - don't even think of adding them to Localism - I believe we already have enough pictures of this beautiful area we live and work in - so just keep yours on your website and don't invest the time.

Well, yes, investing some time might make your website climb a bit on google and the other search engines - but really, you must be busy with all of the business you have already - so why would you wnat to gain in popularity on the internet.

Alright, this wsn't very friendly of me, so let me get serious and say welcome to the Rain (just stay on your own side of Diamond Vally Lake and we'll get along just fine).  If there is anything I can do as a local to make it easier to you, by all means drop me a line or call me.

Now Have a Blessed Day,

John Occhi, Hemet REALTOR

Stefan, welcome to AR, and if you have any questions there are a number of people on here that can answer them for you or tell you who can give you the answer.

I hope this is just the first of many blogs for you.

Thanks all of you.  John you have a darkside.  I was tripping out till the end :). So far so good.  There is quite a bit to explore here and I am very happy to find such a great forum.  I think I have joined a place that is much more then a means to an end.

I am having a ton of fun looking around and really appreciate all of you welcoming me!  I already have some ideas for a couple blog articles that are important for my main markets.

Thanks again all!

...right.  Competitors forever.  Don't worry, I have only done a few deals over there.  Nothing to sweat over. BTW, I think your pic is hilarious.  How big is that trout?

Oh and how did you get your email link like that?  I would love to put my own "Stefan West Murrieta CA Real Estate" for my email.

Sorry, if this is basic but I am a total newbie on this stuff.
