How ready are you mentally?

Our mind plays a big role when it comes to being a Realtor, in our everyday routine we face challenges and emotions, specially when we get a contract in escrow, then it falls through or at time of signing, the seller does not feel like selling anymore or buyers change their mind about buying on signing day, our clients lost their job therfore, they can't afford to buy etc..

This is the way I see it.. every obstacle and problem we encounter is just an opportunity to find a solution and to learn something new that will only benefit us in the long run but you have to be mentally ready to have this attitude.

Francisco- Mind set is critical in everything. But, I also think there are times when it is good to shut the door, turn off the phone and scream. Then I pull myself up by my bootstraps and get back to work.

You must prepare yourself mentally every day to go "in the trenches".  It's the only way to stay on top of your game.

jennifer - I understand what you're saying, but I do take a different approach..I dedicate what I call " Down Time" I take time off of my surroundings, meditate, analize, reflect and execute, I recommend reading books about positive thinking, meditation and learning how to control our mind.

Steven - You're right! It's the only way to stay on top of your game, You always have to look at things in a positive way and keep an open mind.
