Hot off the presses on the front page of today's Paper I found this Gem:

  • NJ Faces Unknown Foe in Swine Flu's Spread
    • "It could turn out to be more severe, less severe, or disappear completely. No one knows"

This guy is brilliant in a short bus sort of way. He certainly covered all the bases.  My Question: Is this really news? It definitely may or may not be news at all. IMHO! I am so glad that I got up this morning to a water logged paper to spend my "coffee Moments" with such brilliance.  Now can some one please ask the News paper delivery person to NOT throw my paper in the puddle at the bottom of the driveway?  I wish we could have kids deliver the paper again, service was much better way back then.

Have a great weekend!

Rob

Our papers come in a plastic wrapper, rain or shine, and since there's very little rain, I always thought it was a waste of plastic.

By the way, you didn't want me delivering your paper when I was young. I was always aiming at the roses, or the car, or the windows.... I was a little piece of dung when I was young.

Robert - Well, at least that's settled now. I was wondering what would happen. The headline reminds me of projections about the economy.

Robert ~ You really do have to just laugh at headlines like this one! They are so ridiculous you wonder if the reporter even rread what he just wrote!

Thanks for the comments everyone, strange but true!  and it was a quote from a hospital spokesman yet the paper some how found it newsworthy enough for page 1!!!

Hi Robert--Glad to see your still coming up with fun stuff.  I'm in the process of re-reading Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged.  "The reporters who came to the press conference in the office of the JGL were young men who had been trained to think that their job consisted of concealing from the world the nature of its events."  I swear, this book could have been written yesterday, only the villains have different names....

And apparently, this reporter subscribed to the same theory of his job description!

Rob, No matter how it turns out, this reporter can always say he was right.  Sort of, almost, maybe.

Thank you for your comments everyone, I will be sure to share the next piece of "stupid news" I stumble across

haha. That is how I often feel about the weather report. Chance of showers or thunderstorms.

Amy, I wasted my entire weekend because of the 80% chance of Tstorms.  it ended up barely raining. That was actually my FB status this weekend: Never trust the weatherman!

I see that you enjoy being on the water. The marine forecasts in my area are even worse than the regular weather forecasts. Smooth to light chop can translate to 2 ft or higher swells w whitecaps. We're learning to take the forecasts as- 20% chance of accuracy ;o)

Amy, for marine forecast: www.SailFlow.com

Seems to be pretty accurate for wind predictions at least.
