Matt Cutts was not the WordCamp I went to unfortunately.  I went to WordCamp Columbus in May 2009.  Matt Cutts who is a Google employee was at WordCamp in San Francisco... in May 2009.

Barry Schwartz of Search Engineland wrote about WordCamp 2009 in San Francisco on the 20th of August.  Fresh from REBARCamp Ohio I was still in the mood to learn and home sick having contracted Swine Flu* (from DracuPig?)  at  REBarCamp Ohio so I listened to Matt Cutts on the 21st of August.

I have a WordPress blog.  It needs a new theme... the spammers and I are still using the default. 

A lot of what I learned from Matt Cutt at WordCamp 2009 is applicable to my ActiveRain blogs as well

1. Some people just do it for fun
2. Cat blogging is OK
3. Don't get B.O
4. About Katamari and "embiggening your niche"
5. Matt Cuttts is not the number one Matt on Google, Matt Mullenweig is. 
6. Or was. Matt Mullenweig was number one. Breaking news in May 2009 some Matt dancing was number one in May 2009.  Peanut Butter and Jelly Dance?
7. Changing / Change the URL can be good
8. Google loves WordPress really I already knew that kinda... I am a big Matt Cutts fan
9. "Update, Update, Update" my WP blog. What's worse than a Nazi blog?  A Nazi blog hacked with Cialis.
10. "Don't do things if they are not fun"

Simpson's fan? I have to admit sadly most of it is over my head, Yup. Embiggen comes from The Simpsons according to Matt Cutts. A Google search for the word Embiggen brings up this nugget from Wikipedia.

"Embiggen, coined by Dan Greaney, has seen use in several scientific publications"

Wikipedia? Gotta be true huh?

* #REBCOHIO joke you can not catch H1N1 formerly known as swine flu from pigs.  Especially not from a felt pig.
