Hi Brad! This is a wonderful post and so timely. Will you write a follow-up post about strategies for
keeping on a positive train of thought and action?
Some coping strategies that come to my mind are:
1. Stay away from toxic agents. And, you soon enough know who they are!
2. Turn off the TV....really, the news.
3. Get on the treadmill and get oxygen flowing to your heart and turn on your IPOD (or
whatever technology you have) and listen to inspirational material, and get good
energy flowing to your brain. The library has lots of books on tape, and they're FREE!
4. Do just one good thing a day....make just one person smile....acknowledge just one
stranger you pass with a "Hi". There are days when "one" is do-able, "two" just too
much of a stretch, I know. But, step outside of yourself. It's a good place to be.
Brad, I'll keep a look out for that follow-up post! Elizabeth
