Hello All !

Onto Part 5 in this series we go !

So far in the first 4 parts of this series on Reasons to Join A Business Network Group, we have covered the following:

1- Put More Dollars In Your Pocket

2 - Become a Better Public Speaker

3 - Great Source of Referrals to Provide To Your Clientelle

4 - Improves Goal Setting & Accountability

... and now we add another benefit to being a part of one of these groups...

Your Group Becomes Like A Family !

Yes in addition to the business benefits of joining a network Group, you often uncover many connections with other members and develop great rapport and friendships because of your initial common business goals !

Want another example of this type of community friendship ????

... Yep ... you're reading my blog on it !!!!!!!

ActiveRain of course !!!!

Same concept, and just look at how many friendships have been developed from this very blog network - I personally have had the great fortune of meeting dozens of ActiveRain members in the 8 months that I've really been Blogging here, and still have lunch and chat with many of them !

Well the same is true of in person Network Groups.

When you meet the same folks each week or month, and you are all excited to achieve the same common goals (from the first 4 parts of this series !) then you look forward to seeing these people each meeting.

Then, as time goes on, you get to learn more about them as a person, and what their interests and personalities are like, often you will find that you enjoy spending time with these peeps ! .... just like family ... well most of the time

So again, aside from all the business benefits, the 'social benefit' is excellent, and again, if run correctly, and new members chosen wisely, your chapter or group can become like a family !!

Two more parts to go !!!

See you in Part 6

Cheerio !

Sheldon, , it's true, it doesn't matter what forms of networking, it is going to bring some benefits to our business if it is done right.  To me, the key is to let people know about who you are and how you are, just simply promoting yoruself as a realtor is not enough.  But you gave some good ideas how to start, thanks.

Sheldon - this has been a great series for folks to inspire them to get out and network. And of course continue to do so here in AR. The relationships we build here and in other networking venues can go far beyond business and become such a valued part of the relationships themselves. As on AR, it is important to not be selling yourself or trying to convince folks why they should come to you.

Sheldon - While I'm not active in local groups in my community, I have reaped the benefits of such communities.  Sure, you can garner business from it... but it is the relationships (read friendship) that is something I never expected.  Well done series, my friend.

Great Series Sheldon!

I have concentrated this year on getting out into the community and doing seminars, discussion panels, networking groups, and just meeting people that could be beneficial to know and refer to others.  It has been an enriching experience and I think will pay off in the big scheme of things.

You never know where the next sale will come from...

J-Sard - Very true, and many of those friendships are unexpected and just happen. Like ours !!!! LOL !

Jayne ! - Sounds like you are laying some great groundwork ! Over time, these groups really become like extended salespeople for you if you dedicate to them. Good for you ;o)

Sounds like a good group.  Even if you get no direct business the accountability and the exchange of ideas is probably good.

I find that networking is best when it is based in genuine regard rather than mercenary intentions.
