The Daily Life of a Mortgage Broker (on Vacation) - Day 4

Day 4 of the vacation:

Things are greatly improving.  The morning started off with a trip into Halstead to get some milk and few other supplies.

Hallstead is small quaint town just minutes outside of New Milford.  There is not much more I can say… other than photos speak for themselves.

Oh, yeah… it was a cool day today.  This photo was taken at 11:00 AM.

Just a bit chilly for near midday in June

I saw this house on the way out of Halstead… someone has an obsession for Shell Gas…

We got back just in time for some friends visiting from NJ.  They brought their three dogs (2 rotties and a black lab).  The latter has its own personal life vest for swimming.  We quickly learned why as the dumb dog jumped in the water and started to swim towards the far end of the lake.

I got my exercise in for the day when I had to jump in the row boat to chase down the dog.  By the time I caught up to him, he was making his way back up the lake but on the opposite side.

After our company left, I finally had my chance to set sail… the boat is not much, but the peacefulness of being out on the lake makes up for it.

I actually think that the Shell house is pretty cool (I wouldn't do it to mine, but...)

Enjoy your vacation (it looks like you are)!

Love the Shell station house it almost looks like it could be an antique shop.

Jay,

I thought that too, but I did not see anything that led to believe we could just walk in and shop.  Plus, it is surrounded by residential homes.

Marc,

If I was going to work on the tan, I would be in the Speedo. (YIKES!)
