I think one of the most commendable qualities a person can have is the gift or ability to own up to their own actions...to admit culpability when wrong and even to accept commendations for a job well done...!!! 

I try to instill in my children a WORK ETHIC...I feel with a deep ingrained WORK ETHIC, a person should always land on their own two feet...Oh, for sure, at times they will fall and be knocked down...that is human nature...but a sound WORK ETHIC will provide a quick and sure rebound...!!!  

I'm talking about a WORK ETHIC that looks beyond remuneration or monetary reward...I'm talking about doing a job and doing it well...Taking pride in our work, and even being thankful for our ability to work...A 'let me take the first step nothing is owed me' attitude...  

ENTITLEMENTS...We are entitled to LIFE, LIBERTY, and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS...That's it...!!!  

If I can indeed instill this attitude in my children, then I can consider myself a successful parent...  

Now, about apologies...!!!  

For most of the summer and part of the spring I have been negligent in honoring my commitment to comment on those posts to which bloggers I subscribe...!!!  

I'm not even going to offer excuses...  

Suffice it to say, I'm sorry, and I resolve to make up for my shortcomings in the fall...!!!
