The Fullerton Fire Department will be setting aside its ladders and fire hoses and picking up spatulas instead Saturday, Oct. 10, as the department hosts a fund-raising pancake breakfast.

           

The breakfast will be held from 7:30-11 a.m. at Fire Department Headquarters, 312 E. Commonwealth Ave., and will feature pancakes, eggs, sausage or bacon, and a beverage.  Tickets are $4 per person, and free for children under 2.

In addition to the breakfast, there will be informational booths on fire prevention and safety. 

 

Fire crews will remain on active duty during the breakfast and there will be no disruption in service.

           

Proceeds from the breakfast will go to the department's public education program and to the "Community Emergency Response Team" (CERT) Program, which trains citizens to be prepared to assist in the city's overall disaster preparedness and recovery efforts.
