Snow Leopard - Making a Great Thing Better

Readers of my blog will know I'm a huge fan of Apple products, so I was excited to hear that Apple had good news for it's customers by announcing its newest and fastest Mac operating system - Snow Leopard - will be released earlier than expected.

What excites me most about Snow Leopard is that it is designed to make using a Mac even faster and more reliable than it already is.

I was impressed to read this because having switched from a PC to MAC last year I noticed a huge difference in the reliability and superior performance of the Mac.

Apple software hardly (if ever) crashes, unlike Microsoft's sudden and unexpected shut-downs.

I'm eagerly awaiting to try out MAC OS X Snow Leopard at the end of this week!

I hope you'll post a detailed post about the differences you like. I heart my Mac.

I have NEVER used a MAC!  Not that I don't want to just never had the opportunity.  However, I am meeting more and more people that use them and have nothing but good things to say about them - may have to try one out!

Hey Stewar. I was reading a story on the the future of OS. Many experts believe that over the next 5 to 7 years we will see Windows and Mac move all operation systems to the net. No more CPUs or CDs with operating systems to load. No more manual updates, it will all happen on the fly. You will log onto a website OS. Kinda crazy when you think of all your personal information on a server somewhere.

Stewart,

I think Macs are awesome, I just don't want to pay all the money to buy new software.  I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed that Windows 7 is a close second.

Hi Stewart... I used to be a Mac user a long time ago, but when I was working in the corporate world I had to assimilate to become a PC user.  I love the Mac products, but I am too financially invested in PCs and software to make the incremental difference worthwhile for me.  I'm with Brian... I hope Windows 7 makes a good second choice!

I installed Snow Leopard on my iMac and MacBook and have noticed a definite increase in the speed of starting up and shutting down ... but at this stage, I don't see any other major differences .... so I need to learn about the product this weekend.

Watching the activity in the Apple Store yesterday impressed me - Apple has brilliantly created an ongoing income stream.
