Lenn - First let me say I really like your new picture.  I had lost you among my Associates because I didn't recognize the new photo.

I work on family genealogy a great deal, and have many references to the Shenandoah River.  I had never seen it before - until a year ago May when I made a trip to that part of the country.  It was far more impressive than I had imagined.

Do people actually travel 2.5 miles back and forth to work there? I would not ever want to leave home if I lived there! It is also too beautiful to leave home. What a wonderful small population too!

Hi Lenn, I have been doing my CE classes on line ready to renew my license. It is interesting to see the community stats have had them in my studies today and the usefulness to the consumer to understand the demographics and their relationship to base and non-base industry, community, employment, schools, etc.

William.  Mmmm.  I too have been concentrating on CE for both my licenses which renew in the spring 2010.  Our CE classes don't cover matters of demographics.  However, I love to review demographics of the counties in my market area.  There is no substitute for "institutional knowledge".

Mary. It's quite beautiful.  I'll get more photos today on a photo tour of Western Loudoun County.

Katerina.  THANKS!!!  Fixed.  Excel is playing tricks on me.  That's what happens when I try to post something after 7:00 p.m.  It's actually 33 minutes, via Census, which means that most residents in Clarke County work in Winchester or Leesburg.

Pat.  I love these local posts.  It inspires me to get out and "walk the land" in my market area.

Myrl.  Oh goodness.  The Shenandoah area is spectacular.  My market area goes right into the Shenandoah Valley.

Lou.  That is is.  That it is.

Robert.  Indeed, I made corrections as of this a.m.   My mistake to think I could put a post together after 7:00 p.m.  I'm barely sentient at that hour.
