Are You At Your Rope's End With Some Attitudes?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

End Of RopeAre you at your rope's end with some attitudes?

People you work with. Some you interact with. It starts off as confrontation rather than cooperation. Maybe they are having a bad day. I sometimes think a bad five years. It gets worse as you better know them.

Unwilling to network with you or be supportive it is like a tug of war to get them to be eye to eye in any fashion with you. They want to maintain their position they have climbed over other people to secure. Yet they are the one insecure. They operate out of scarcity rather than abundance.

With hyper competitive people only they can change themselves to work peacefully with you. So assess them quickly for whom they are and move on.

Hi Gary, Earlier this evening my husband and I were talking about different personality types.  Sometimes different types don't work together well.

Gary, I'm usually on the receiving end of these attitudes but today I found myself very short of patience. Always good to be held in check ;-)

I think I read this blog at the right time! I feel that I may need a boost of good attitude as I have been at my wits end on some work situations! Well Thank you Gary again for some fond words!

Good advise.....no one likes a confrontation . The real art is handling the hyper achievers with great finesse. Once you learn how, they will move on and be scratching their heads thinking " wait a minute did he pull something over on me?  he was too nice."

I suspect you handle these folks just fine.

Hi Gary, Hope you doing OK. You used two of my favorite terms in this post. Scarcity and Abundance. People usually come in only 2 ways in my view. You can guess the ones I hang with.

Rarely have I had the pleasure to work with people like that -- but it's true Gary, they've just been in that bad mood for five years, and like it there!  I like you're advice - move on.

Wow, Gary.  Are you invading my thoughts right now?  This came in at a very appropriate time for me right now.  I was just thinking, too, that, maybe this person who is causing me such grief is just having a particularly stressful time.  Gotta keep this mantra going in my mind: "Water off a duck's back".

I jsut stay focused on my "No A**holes" logo permanently etched into my brain.  It's a red circle with a line thru it, a la the No Bozos sign.  but you can imagine what's in mine.  Keeps out the riff raff.  Just ignore them and don't invite them to play.

I don't have the patience for those types of people, and there's no reason why I should. Generally I tell them, "Look you have 2 options. Do A or do B. I don't care." And then I move on. You can't let negativity or emotional outbursts from people pull you down. Life is too short and time is too precious.

Gary, I had a woman tell me how to do my job and because I didn't respond to her immediately, she left me a voice message telling me not to tell her how to do her job! Hmmm...it is good move on from these things! Thank you for that!

Being in a business that has any type of customer interaction, you are bound to run into those personalities that don't fit your own. Whether you work with them directly, or in passing. Good customer service is working with them to the best of your ability. No one said it was always easy.

There are so many great people to work with out there I have learned to sort through quickly and delete those that are difficult. Time is precious and there are so many hours in a day!
