Hairy Ears and lots of whiskers of corse! Duh.

Mack the cat has always had hairy ears and when we play I like to tickle them which aggravates him just a little. Scottish Fold cats like Mack have very tiny ears, a breed trait...so I suppose the hair seems to stand out a little more than in other breeds.  Regardless Mack could care less as long as breakfast is served promptly and he gets a tiny bit of milk at night before retiring. Mack was a great find at our local shelter. Before you spend a lot on a pure bred...go to your shelter and you might just find a show cat there!

I resemble that remark about cats and old men with hairy ears.  Mack is a hondsome fellow isn't he.  Most poeple wouldn't believe yuou could find such a handsome fellow at an aniumal shelter.

For the past 25 years my wife and I have enjoyed the friendship of 5 dogs and 3 cats over time, all from the shelter or from along the highway, left by an unwanting owner.

We still have one.  Our mostly border collie, Tipper.

Hello Trey,

Mack is one beautiful cat!  Shelter animals always make the most wonderful pet companions.  I'm glad you found your show cat there.  As Bob stated, Mack is quite a handsome fellow!

Mack has a full head of hair though as well. Can't say the same for some of us old folk.

Those hairs are so dang annoying.  Why do I need hair on my ears.

AND why does just one or two of my eyebrow hairs suddenly sprout to three inches long overnight?

Hi Trey, That's why old guys need wives... to make sure they stay well groomed.  :o)

Amazing that you got this beautiful cat at a shelter.  A Scottish Fold cat is pretty expensive if you buy one from a breeder.

Trey~ Looks just like our cat Toots. Who we originally thought was a female and turned out to be male. Full name Tootsie, so the name fit great! My husband likes to aggravate him as well, but he loves it!

Trey, He is beautiful! The best pets, in my experience have come from boxes in front of businesses or rescued animals. Thanks for sharing Mack the Cat with us!

Trey: Mack is a handsome boy.  Love the light green eyes.  It's great that you adopted from your local shelter.  Wish more people would.

Hi Trey... Mack sure is a fine looking kitty!  I think there is a special bond between people and the animals they adopt from shelters.  The animals seem to have sense that they have been chosen and rescued!

Trey - Mack is a wonderful looking cat!  I especially like his green eyes and expression!  Every animal I have had for the last 25 years has come from a family member, who either was moving or couldn't care for it any longer.  I must say I've had really wonderful little companions because I am the family shelter!

Jan Marie,

We have guessed the sex of several pets wrongly too....lol

Wanda ,

We always notice the pet give aways at Walmart on Saturdays.  We have to limit our collection though!

Chris Ann,

He is a real fun guy and I have to admit a little cocky towards other cats.

Steve,

You are right abot the bond.

Caron

I forgot about the nose hair! lol

Trey you made my evening with this one. Before I read the entire thing my first thought was...cats and old men have one thing in common...we like to sleep. I don't know about the hairy ear part; I'll have to have Ceil check my ears. Fun blog.

Howdy there Trey

I sure did like meeting Mack, he sure is a mighty fine looking kitty cat! Our kitty Alexis loves to have her eyes rubbed inside and out, sometimes.
