Yes, Waynesville Has Photography Classes Taught by Great Photographers.

By
Real Estate Agent

Bob Grytten, Photographer, held a photography workshop last Saturday at the Waynesville Armory featuring photographers Dennis Oakley and Jerry Stone. Bob, a very talented and experienced photographer (and artist), teaches numerous great photography classes every year, several of which I have been fortunate to attend.

Dennis discussed ‘post production’ issues and software (i.e., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Elements, Adobe Lightroom, Apple Aperture, and Nikon NX2), raw vs. jpeg, workflow, etc. We all walked away with a great information packet from Dennis full of big gold nuggets of information!

Jerry reviewed HDR photography methods and software by way of an instructional CD and his own extensive experience, and he too provided us with many gold nuggets to help us through our first stabs at HDR photography on our own.

If you are interested in upcoming photography classes, you can reach Bob at 828-627-0245

Hi Susie,

I am interested.  Do you know off hand how far Waynesville is from Tri-Cities TN? We are in the Northeast corner of Tennessee.

Susie, nice to see there are classes available in your area. They also covered good topics.

Susie - I would love to attend one of these classes.  I use Photoshop Elements, PSP Pro Photo X2, Photoscape and  a couple others, but there is a serious learning curve to all of them.  And I choose which editing program to use based on the subject matter.  Some have better tools than others ...

Glad you got to go!  You certainly take some beautiful photos, my friend!

What fun! I'd love to take photography classes, but I can't afford the equipment anyway =(  So I just make the most with what I have.

Hi Susie!  YOU should be teaching these classes!  I would love to take a couple of courses to improve upon my photography skills but, just haven't taken the time--perhaps in retirement I'll have the time!!

Hi Susie, Glad I didn't miss this. HDR ? Hum, I know I should know that. First you take of the lens cap and then you aim at what you want a picture of, or at least think you do. They you fool around by turning that big thing sticking out the front. When you turn it each way a few times, Push that button and you got yourself a picture. OK , I got that far, what's next?  :-)

Wow Susie, Sounds like it was a very interesting class. I being such an avid amateur photographer, I would have liked to have attended these classes just to learn more about photography. I think it is about time to take my training wheels off...
