And who doesn't love the carnivals! The rides, the cotton candy and in my home town at the county fair we had roasted corn on the cob and baked potatoes, due to the number of farms around.  It was an event looked forward to the whole year.

Gail.  Me too.  This one has been going up all week in Lovettsville.  I believe we're about the last one in the county.

A simpler time, looks like such fun and reminds me of state and county fairs in the Midwest where I grew up

Janice.  Indeed.  Town and country fairs from across the land.

Paul.  I will and the same to you.  I'm on a photo shoot today for some local color, an adventure.

This is one of my favorite times of year because of the fairs.  We have a number of good ones in Lancaster County.

Hi Lenn... Thanks for the reminder... the State Farir of Texas will be right around the corner now that the end of summer is in sight!  I can't wait!

Lenn- Looks like some folks are in for a good time at the carnival. My oldest son travels with a carnival and sets up all the rides and makes sure that the kids are safe. I used to try to get him to settle down and get a 'real job' then I woke up and realized that he is doing what he loves to do and that is most important. Someone needs to set the rides up and if he is happy- that is all I care about. Katerina

I love the carnival! We took our sons on the ferris wheel this year and snapped fabulous pictures of them turning green after they had stuffed themselves with carnie hot dogs and slushies. Is that wrong? haha

I haven't been to a carnival in ages.  I think I will take my kids to the Texas State Fair this year, which is in October.

I get dizzy on the ferris wheel but I wouldn't mind throwing a few dart or shooting a few hoops :)

Sally.  All of the games are fun.  This one is so close to home, I can't resist.

Jason.  Take the kids and go.  Enjoy.

Christianne.  Funny.  The food is horrible and the little ones love it.

Katerina.  How can one argue with a child that loves what they do?

Steve.  Go and have fun.  It's only once a year.

Lou.  Every year.  Every year.

Brian.  AH!  A fair.  That's even more fun.

Ahh, I love the carnivals and the atmosphere of fun.  I wonder if there's going to be any around here, suddenly I want some cotton candy.

Gabe.  Shucks.  You folks have the "carnival of all carnivals" in Orlando.
