Vintage Auto Night at Ocean County Mall, Wednesday August 26

There is something about an old car... The Art, The Nostalgia, The Dreams... I have a 40+ year old convertible sitting in pieces in my garage... Next good market I promise I will get it on the road!

This Wednesday you have the opportunity to see some oldies:

I've always loved these vintage auto shows. We just had a good one at Long's Park in Lancaster, PA.

I have a permanent place in the doghouse for trading in our 1970 Caddy Sedan DeVille w/48k original miles. My husband is still mad at me for doing that . . .

Candice, when did you do that? and was it a convertible? That is the ultimate boat of a car!

I traded it in 2002 for a truck. It was not a convertible but it was in perfect condition. It was a YACHT not just a boat.

The AC never worked well enough for 120 degrees, no matter how much work was done to it -- so the novelty of showing property in it wore off very quickly.

My husband still moans that I committed a cardinal sin. He's a classic car buff and would trade our new cars for an old Camaro. HAHAHA

One of my friends just got a convertible of the same vintage. What I would really like from that era is the 4 door Lincoln Convertible, with the suicide doors.
