Why do we work Short Sales?

Working Short Sales is certainly not a glamorous job.

Short Sales don't pay very well (at least in my area).

Short Sales are hard work.

Short Sales can be very frustrating.

Short Sales take a long time to get approved and closed.

Would I still work Short Sales if I had it to do all over again? Absolutely!!!! And here are a few reasons why..........

My husband and I currently live just outside of Manchester, New Hampshire. We owned a house in Haines City, FL that we’d been trying to sell for over two years, but to no avail. After having it listed with three different agents with not so much as a single offer, our next option was foreclosure which would have devastated our credit! While doing a search online, I stumbled upon Bryant’s website which talked about alternatives to foreclosure, one of which was The Short Sale. Bryant Tutas saved us from having to go into foreclosure! He worked very hard for me and my husband and got the bank to accept the short sale! Less than 4 months later, from start to finish, we closed!!! Bryant was a God send to us and we would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to sell their home! – Lara and Dan

When we first met Bryant we were at the point of total despair and we were seriously contemplating walking away from our home, but Bryant calmed our fears and explained to us the option to do a short sale, which is a better avenue than going into forecloseure. If one of my clients or someone they referred me to wanted me to help them do a short sale, I probably would, and for the same reason you would, Bryant. But I won't actively search them out, that's for sure!

Hi BB - I agree that it is frustrating and at times depressing, but no clients are more grateful for our help than the folks who have been saved from foreclosure or other sure financial disasters by our helping them through a short sale. Very rewarding in other than cash.

It's all about the people in the end BB. You are helping many out there that need your skills and abilities.

It's IS hard work...and that's the small of it. The rest is all worthwhile from those rewarding words.

Bryant - Rock on !!! We have had very similar stories recently with similar testimonials. I always say one more short sale is one less foreclosure ! Thanks for sharing these personal success stories. They are a lot of hard work but one take a lot of personal satisfaction out of the process. It makes out all worthwhile.

On a side note, I need to get back on the website that you started regarding Short Sales. I registered but have not had a chance to be interactive as of yet. Is it too late ?

Love the photo... seriously, it is great that you have tesimonials from the folks you have helped. Short sales are tough to sell but your reward speaks for itself.

I often wonder why I inspect foreclosures. I have yet to find one in anything resembling reasonable condition.

Testimonials speak volumes. Being able to help folks is the intrinsic beauty of this business. Good for you, Bryant!

Hi Bryant... You are absolutely on target! I have been working for my short sale sellers for over 5 years now and the kind thank you notes, tears and hugs at the closing tables and clients telling me that they prayed for help and that they were convinced that I had been sent to them as an answer to their prayers more than make up for an additional work or reduced commission I may have to accept as a part of the type of career I have chosen. I sleep well at night knowing that I made a difference in my clients' lives.

Bryant, I think of short sales as a type of community service. Yes we're being paid, but often our commission has been reduced, and it is at least three times (maybe 10 times!) as arduous to get a short sale to closing than a normal sale. The more homes we can save from being abandoned, the better off our neighborhoods, local government, state government and economy will be.

Bryant Thanks for validating one of the most important reasons for doing short sales: to help people in distress.

In spite of the frustrations, etc...when we do close a short sale, there is such an overwhelming wave of relief and gratitude. And all the folks I've helped sell their homes as short sales also tell me that when they are back on their feet again, and are able to buy, they will come to me. And in the meantime, if someone they know is looking for a realtors, they said they will always refer me.

THAT is our reward.
